What Is Inulin Powder (Fructooligosaccharide)?

Inulin powder is a naturally occurring soluble fiber that is found in plants and is also known as a fructooligosaccharide (FOS). Inulin powder contains a prebiotic. The natural bacteria found in the lower gut converts it into healthy fatty acids. Inulin powder is naturally sweet and has about 10% the sweetness of sugar/sucrose. It is also often used as a flour substitute in baked goods, as well as a fat substitute in margarine. Inulin powder is found naturally in foods, such as onion, garlic, banana, and wheat. This particular inulin powder supplement is derived from either artichokes or agave.

Inulin Powder Benefits

Inulin powder is a natural soluble fiber that contributes to a healthy digestive system and supports the colon. When taken in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise, inulin powder may also aid in maintaining healthy weight and glucose levels in already healthy individuals.

Great deal

Dissolves easily with barely noticeable, very neutral flavor, ever so slightly sweet.

Inulin Powder

So far so good. Sunchoke powder dissolves very easily. Flavor is neutral. Price is right. Most prebiotic powder supplements are agave or chicory root (usually roasted).
